PANAMA SURF CAMP

We will also do a wide variety of daily activities including snorkeling the coral reefs, dolphin watching, stand up paddle boarding, a visit to the butterfly farm, a hike through the jungle or a walk down a beautiful beach to have a bbq. We even have the Lil Spa Shop onsite so you can add on spa treatments and massages. After sunset cocktails and hors d’oeuvres, you are on your own to feast on a variety of local food at one of the many restaurants that line the vibrant street of Bocas town.

This trip will be an incredibly fun surf adventure for everyone who comes! Whether you are wanting to learn to surf, improve your skills, or you are a top pro, we will provide you with the surfing experience of a lifetime.

SURF EVERY DAY

Bocas del Toro is unique because all of the surf spots are only accessible by boat. We have a private boat that will take us to what ever surf break we want to charge. We load up the boards and head out for our daily surf sessions; surf lessons for those that need them and glassy aqua green waves for those that are ready to hang ten. We have options of reef breaks and beach breaks and we often find it hard to get the Chicas out of the water. This Panama surf camp is a Caribbean dream.

ACCOMMODATIONS

The Caribbean flavor of bright color houses, palm trees and streets lined with bicycles creates the magical charm of this surf destination. We will be staying on a private property, with individual bungalows and a boat house located right over the water. You can see the fish swim below the deck as you eat breakfast or relax in the afternoon. Our dock has a sun deck as well as hammocks for you to lounge in, and our boats are tied up ready to take us out for any excursion.

MANGROVE & BAT CAVE TOUR

One of the many adventures we take is to Isla Bastimentos, through the Mangroves, onto privately owed land where we will see Sloths, Red Frogs, and the Indigenous people of the small village there.  On this Indiana Jones style adventure, you have the opportunity to explore a subterranean river cave, and come face to face with hundreds of tiny fruit bats. Although this tour is not for the ultra-squeamish, it’s definitely an experience you don’t want to miss!

I'm Ready

JUNGLE HIKE & COFFEE FARM

Take a refreshing hike up to the Coffee Shop and Organic Farm at the very top of the hill of Isla Bastimentos, through the little village, with beautiful views along the jungle trail. Indulge in some pure chocolate or coffee, before heading back down to the rustic off the beaten path to the Firefly hotel for some sunset drinks and a gourmet dinner on the water.

I'm Excited

SNORKEL AND PLAY AT BIRD ISLAND

Bird Island, also known as Swan’s Cay, is an amazing sight off the coast of Isla Colon. We will take the day to snorkel and swim in the majestic waters of this remote paradise.  Here you will find the only known nesting place in the Caribbean of the Red-billed Tropic Bird (Phaeton Aethereus). We will also visit Mike’s private beach and other cool spots like La Piscina, for a relaxing afternoon.

Let's Go Now

ISLA COLON BIKE RIDE

Bocas del Toro is a waterfront town. Although most of the transportation is by boat, there are many places to explore by bicycle. About 25 minutes outside of town, you’ll find Playa Bluff, which might be Isla Colón’s nicest beach. An important nesting site for sea turtles, Playa Bluff has a level stretch of gorgeous, uninhabited beachfront.  Down the country roads, we can check out the famous Paunch surf break, ride down to Paki Point to grab a pina colada,  or even do quick ride into town to get some ice cream.

Let's do it

FRESH FOOD INCLUDED

Breakfast and lunch will be served daily in the boat house. Fresh coffee will be served by the time you open your eyes and walk out onto the deck to check out the day. Enjoy a simple light breakfast before heading out to surf. And once the first surf session is over, we head back to enjoy a tropical lunch with fresh fish, lobster or what ever delicious creation our chef has prepared for the day. You have the option to head out for dinner to any of the local restaurants on Isla Colon or take a water taxi to eat at one of the neighboring islands.
